    Trovo: working with partners

Trovo is at the leading edge of IT project management and systems development.

After over a decade in the web business, and with over 20 years of management and planning expertise, we ensure that our projects finish on time, on budget and to the customer's satisfaction.

However, we know that well-managed projects are scarce in the IT world - it's still a fledgling industry after all.

So we want to share our skills and knowledge with partners in the software development industry.

Browse the partners section for an overview of how we work, then Contact Us to find out how we can make your projects run smoother and your customers happier.

How our projects work

We plan and manage projects using a cycle of Planning, Doing, Checking and Acting.

For each system we produce, we iterate around the cycle, planning our work, doing what the plan says, checking quality and acting upon the checks to fix problems and exploit opportunities.

Everything we do puts the customer in the centre of the project:

  • The customer helps us plan.
  • We do exactly what they need us to do. And no more.
  • They set the standards against which our work is checked.
  • We act upon what the checks tell us.

Our Director of Programmes has in-depth experience of many project management methodologies, but the one he has chosen is Agile. Unlike many other development companies, though, when we say 'Agile' we don’t mean 'no project management at all'...

Planning

How Trovo's Agile planning prevents open-endedness damaging IT projects while putting the customer at the centre and ensuring the delivery of useful software.

Doing

How Trovo has merged Agile development techniques to our experience of web development to produce systems that are adaptable, robust and fit for purpose.

Checking

We check our work constantly (usually hundreds of times a day). This not only ensures it's up to standard, but also provides our customers with detailed information about how the project is going so they can make intelligent decisions and shift priorities if necessary.

Acting

Agile projects are Agile because they can change direction quickly. Planning work in iterative cycles of planning, doing and checking, and integrating automated tests throughout, mean that when we discover an issue or an opportunity, we are in prime position to act upon it.
